Scope and Contents Artificially assembled collection consists of 70 annotated snapshots of Gertrude Stein and her friends, Georges Hugnet (poet) and Eugene Berman, taken between 1925-1929, at her summer home in Bilignin near Belley, France. Views include: Berman at work on a painting. Most of the snapshots are 2 1/2 by 2 inches, with a few slightly larger. 20 of the snapshots are annotated by Stein on the versos. Harriet George Barclay archive, 1921-1986

Scope and Contents Harriet G. Barclay was Professor of Botany at the University of Tulsa, teaching part-time at the University of Tulsa between 1929 and 1942, and later assuming a full-time position in 1942. In 1949, she was promoted to Professor of Botany and in 1953 was appointed Chair of the Botany department. In 1958 she received a National Science Foundation grant for a year of botanical research in the Andes of Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela. She retired in 1972, at which time she was appointed...
